Launched in 2021, WithWomen was created to elevate the practice of midwifery and to support every woman and person to have a positive birth experience.
Globally, the maternal mortality rate remains alarmingly high and the shortage of midwives continues to grow. When midwives are undervalued and under resourced, access to high-quality reproductive health care declines and women’s rights suffer.
We can fix this by raising the childbirth standards globally and overcoming the barriers midwives face in providing quality care so that more women and babies can survive and thrive.

Globally, there has been an increase in unnecessary intervention, a loss of confidence in women’s bodies, loss of childbirth as a life event and loss of midwives.
We can fix this by equipping midwives and mothers with quality childbirth practices.
By raising the childbirth standards for midwives and midwifery and overcoming the barriers to care from midwives – more women and babies can receive the care that they truly deserve. Preventing millions of deaths and injuries that occur every year globally.
